Ive seen several bad reviews about the Splendor? Im having second thoughts?? Anyone heard anything about this ship?

Don't scare me, what kind of bad reviews.  We are booked for Jan. 24 09 and I'm take my parents and in-law who have NEVER cruised before.

Just ignore the bad reviews!!!  As stated in so many other threads out here, the people who post the bad reviews, usually only post once, and they usually have a bad attitude or are in a bad mood anyway.  I have been on several cruises and have several more in the planning stages and I have NEVER been disappointed with the cruise.  True, somethings may not be the best (the food in the buffet on the Lido) and won't go the way you thought or planned, but you deal with it and don't let it ruin your vacation.  The good thingsf far outnumber the bad.  Go in with an open mind!!!  Get involved or do nothing at all....it is all in your mindset.  Have a Great Cruise!!! 

What reviews are you talking about??? where did you find them??? I looked the only reviews I could find was the ones that Carnival placed, we know they wouldent place a bad review.

Don't know what reviews the OP was referring to, but if you go to Cruisecritic.com and read reviews or even on the Carnival site, there are a lot of people complaining about various things from what "other"people wore to formal night, to a sewage smell, to it was smokey in the lounges, to chair hogs. 

Cruise Critic did not rate the ship well...Just wanna have a great cruise....

The only negatives I have read had to do with the ship decore... the pink polka dots seem to annoy many, but really, who cares?

My attitude, any day on a cruise ship is a great day... just go, relax and have a great time.

 I have been on 6 cruises, Splendor with be my 7th..... all were great.  I agree people will complain about anything.....there is so MUCH to ENJOY why would you comlain! I look forward to my trip on the splendor and Can't wait.

I agree with all the previous posts.  We started out on RCCL and after one cruise, we switched to Carnival.  We are leaving on our 11th next Saturday and our 12th in December.  Believe me, if they weren't all GREAT, we could find some other way to spend our retirement money.  It is the only way to vacation.  You can find little things to nitpik but I don't have time for that nonsense.  Put me on a Carnival ship, I am ecstatic.  Have a great cruise and don't listen to the naysayers.

Hey Rog    I think we were on the Triumph with you a few years ago.  I believe you were with your mother and sister.  It was a great cruise.

Rog   My husband, two daughters and son-in-law were on the Triumph for our 40th wedding anniversary in February 2007.  I remember you, your mom and your sister were on that cruise.  Congratulations on your 11th cruise, it is also our 11th cruise with Carnival.  We also have #12 booked on the Miracle in December.

No, I just happened to read your post and remembered you.  We are leaving on the Ecstasy Saturday out of Galveston and our next one is the Miracle in December out of Ft Lauderdale.  We will have to wait awhile after the Miracle, I have been putting off having my knees replaced, and can't take the pain much longer.  I haven't even booked our 13th cruise.  I thought I should wait and see when I will be able to walk, hopefully, they will heal fast so I can get on with the cruises.  Anyway, y'all have a great cruise out of Rome and I will be thinking about cruising. LOL
